I’m Yeshwanth Darma dev Damerla and I stuttered badly for over 22 years. To be honest, I would have never made any progress in my life without attending this wonderful programme. I even struggled in normal conversations with my friends and family members. This struggle was more challenging while facing strangers.
This struggle was more challenging while facing strangers.
People often mocked at this inability by trying to repeat my incomplete word or sentence or an alphabet of a word. With growth this looked insult, which eventually led to skipping the first day (fresher’s day) at school or college or events that needed interaction.
I often vented out the anger in the bathroom through running water to hinder the real pain. I choose Mechanical Engineering as a Bachelor’s Degree in college. If someone had asked, why I choose that over the other branch of engineering? I choose to overcome the humiliation from a class that might have both genders. I had become sensitive, this led to making fewer friends
One day Dr P. Tamilselvam, Head of Dept. of Mechanical Engineering happen to mention, ‘I’m low on energy. He identified my challenge, his warm words were the seeds to build confidence within me. This gave rise to the urge to search that could help to overcome the stuttering. This search got me introduced to McGuire Programme which changed my entire life.

At present, I’m doing my higher studies, which in past I thought that I could never do it.
I take this opportunity to thank all the people who helped me in this wonderful journey.
